Re-Edit

I've been toying around lately with some of my older images. I need to move them around on my computer since I changed software last year... I don't like going from program to program when I need them. I didn't like the edits I did with these so I only moved the originals and I am re-doing some of my favorites. I think this one looks better. The only thing is after I did some smoothing, it smoothed out some freckles, and I think those freckles give character but overall it looks ok. This is typical of the edits I like to do on photos, nice and clean. I don't really like to dramatically change the photo from the original. I try to get good pictures straight out of camera (SOOC) so my post processing is minimal. 

So, what do you think??? It helps when you have a beautiful subject! ;)

Big News!

So, here's our big news! Two years in the making and we are finally home owners again. Being self employed is for the birds as far as buying a house is concerned. We closed this past Wednesday but it took this long to get a picture taken with the sold sign (and we still need one with the three of us...). Busy, busy, busy moving and unpacking... but we are happy, happy, happy... 

I've also got a room that will eventually be dedicated to my photography. It's a small space, but I think I can make it work. I can't wait to do some experimenting... :) That room has a lot of work needed to be done to it: flooring, paint, storage for props and what-nots... In the mean time, it gives a "place" to put all my photography stuff (backdrops, stands, props, blankets, baskets, and my camera collection...), before it was all over the house. 

As soon as it is a "workable" space, I will need some volunteers to test it out for me... :)

Busy, Busy, Busy as a Bee...

So, it's been awhile since I have posted anything. Not that I haven't been taking any pictures, but that I haven't had the time to process them and post them... Actually sometimes I have to leave my camera at home so I can catch myself up...

Also, I've got some BIG news to share with everyone. For those of you who know me personally, you may already know... sort of. Maybe I'll let the cat out of the bag tomorrow... we'll just have to see.

It was an über bright day, so I had to underexpose a bit... it was also super windy and I didn't have anything to time my hair back with so I was fighting with my hair and it kept getting in the way... There are more to come when I finish with them. Here is one from later that same afternoon. I love old barns...

At the Park!

I try really hard to not flood my photography stuff (blog & facebook) with pictures of Maci, but I just can't help it sometimes. She's just too cute to resist... I guess she is the official spokesperson for LBP. Since I'm always taking pictures I can't help to share my favorites from time to time. I have so many to choose from, but these are todays winners.

If anyone would like a shoot at the park (any local) let me know, we can make it happen!!
